Remixing Strangers in Wonderland

I’ve just finished two remixes for Strangers in Wonderland. I took on their track “Addicted”, which is a sweet song really. I tried to add some Pretorium flavour to it together with some pop influences.

Another remix, for a competition, is also bounced. It’s not my best and I’m actually quite sick and bored of the track after only 1½ hour or working with it. This is the first time I said “yes” to remix a track I didn’t like, and I will promise myself that I won’t do it again. Shit in, shit out, as they say…

Alive

I’m alive.

I got my third UAD-1 card the other day. Wrote a brand new pop song the other day which Fred kindly scribbled down the lyrics for in a jiffy. Now we’re looking for a female singer who can record it. Interested? Drop me a line.

Still working on a new mindXpander album, a new Ypsilon 5 album, a new Pretorium album and a few other things.

Sorry for been offline for so long, but I’ve got my reasons and please don’t ask. I’ll try to go through the big pile of e-mails soon and I will reply to them.

Thanks for tuning in!

Natura Magica

Two Pretorium tracks, “Digital Soundscape” and “Panoramic Horizon”, was featured in a photo presentation by photographers from the Natura Magica forum.

Last.fm

This is nice. Someone likes my music and scrobbles it at last.fm. Pretorium have got 190 plays, mindXpander have got 1300 plays while Ypsilon 5 takes the gold medal with over 4900 plays. Nice! Fun to see that someone seems to listen to what I produce in my tiny studio. Thanx!

To all listeners; You just made my day! =D

Lost in the Midnight

The film Lost in Translation completely blew me away. I didn’t have any expectations what so ever and there was especially one piece of music, “Are You Awake?” by Kevin Shields, which I loved and really got stuck in my head. So, finally home from the cinema I fired up the synths and computers to do something similar - this was a few years ago and the film was just running but a lot of you haven’t heard the result yet. The title was inspired by my flight back from NYC seven years ago but I didn’t have a clear mind of what I wanted the track to sound like. After watching Lost in Translation I knew.
